Patrick Shinners focuses on Public Sector, Labor and Employment Law and has handled numerous labor arbitrations, interest arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and state and federal lawsuits. He has represented numerous individual employees with respect to the negotiation and enforcement of employment agreements including severance packages and non-competes. Patrick has successfully argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Illinois Commerce Commission. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the AFL-CIO's Union Lawyers Alliance. He formerly served as chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, union co-chair of the ABA Committee on Practice and Procedure under the National Labor Relations Act, and editor for The Developing Labor. Patrick is admitted to the Missouri (2005) and Illinois (2006) State Bars, and to numerous federal district and appellate courts. He received a law degree and certificate in Employment Law from St. Louis University Law School in 2005 where he attended on a Dean's Scholarship. Patrick received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.B.A., magna cum laude).
