J. Christopher Chostner
Chris Chostner works in all areas of the Firm's practice, and has represented clients in plaintiffs' employment discrimination suits, ERISA and other disability benefit disputes, and prevailing wage litigation. In 2009, Chris successfully represented three employees seeking payment of the prevailing wage in Thomas v. A.G. Electrical, Inc., 304 S.W.2d 179 (Mo. App. Ct. E.D. 2009), in which the Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeals held that employees on a public works project may file suit against any bond issued on the project to recover unpaid prevailing wages. Chris co-authored Federal and State Law Governing Public Employees, Employer-Employee Law, 3rd Edition, Missouri Bar 2008. He has also presented seminars to the Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and other groups on topics such as: electronic discovery in employment discrimination suits; prevailing wage rights; and, ERISA disability litigation. He volunteers with the Volunteer Lawyers Program of St. Louis. Chris received his law degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 2005 where he was Editor-In-Chief of the Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Illinois.
